A Love Triangle Among Gaara’s Kids? Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 19 Sneak Peek 2!
The Boruto sequel seems to have a lot of love triangles, doesn’t it?
In the previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, Amado stops Kawaki from getting his upgrade. Meanwhile in the Sand Village, Araya uses Lodestone Sand Sealing Blade made from Shinki’s Iron Sand to free Sarada and the team from Ryu while Matsuri captures Konohamaru after the latter rejects her.
The first sneak peek was a first for the Boruto series, as we finally get a chapter cover revealed a week ahead of the chapter release itself.
The second shows us a flashback of the Sand Trio, with Araya thinking about how he always expressed concern for Yodo as he tells Shinki to pay attention to her, whereas Shinki tells Araya that he is the same, always talking about Yodo.
The conversation is as follows:
Araya: “At least a little… pay some attention to Yodo too”
Shinki: “…you’re the same way. Whenever you open your mouth, it’s always about Yodo”
This is quite an intriguing line as it might indicate that there seems to be a love triangle among the current Sand Trio, which creates some concerns over what exactly the Sand Trio are, adopted siblings or just Shinki as Gaara’s son.
Shinki is the one directly considered as the adopted son of Gaara and we have not seen this dynamic among the original Sand Siblings.
Another interpretation could be that Araya is an overprotective friend to Yodo, who has shown to not like being looked down by him in that way and Shinki revealing that he should also consider not being too fixated on her.
Is this a love triangle, an issue among siblings and friends or is there more to the story?
Of course this is just one page but what would this sneak peek tell us about.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 19 will be officially released on February 20, 2025.
The next chapter, Chapter 20, will be around March 20, 2025 and will be the last chapter for Volume 5.
