Azuma vs Vlad! Choujin X Chapter 55 SPOILERS
The elder Vlad proves to be a resilient foe for the Moon Beast.
In the previous chapter, Tokio wins against I.C. Ice, who warns him about the Calamity. We also learn Ice’s past and how he was saved by Zora.
Choujin X Chapter 55 is titled, “Mist/I”
The chapter begins with a flashback from 5 years ago.
Maho Tagawa unleashing a “Mage Tornado” but BB remarks how small it is.
Denku shows his kunai, since he wants to be a ninja but BB calls him out for being a nerd.
BB then teaches the two about the two roles that choujin play: attack and support.
BB intends to train the pair as both attackers and supporters at the same time.
While BB handles close-range due to her brawn-based abilities, Denku is mid-range due to his lightning manipulation and Tagawa is long-range due to her tornadoes.
In the present, the team faces off against the elder Bador Vlad. BB tells her team that their opponent is too fast and thus they need to blow him up with one big shot.
Azuma charges with the team, with Tagawa’s Mage Tornado covering Vlad but Vlad easily negates it by lifting out the floor as a shield.
Seeing an opening, BB commands the firing squad to shoot but the shots do nothing.
Azuma strikes with one of his weapons but Vlad parries easily. Azuma senses another attack coming but BB comes to his defense.
Seeing a chance to strike, BB orders Denku to attack. Denku throws kunai that Vlad brushes off but Denku activates his “Hiraishin” (might be translated as “Flying Lightning Heart”) technique, giving the gigantic foe a serious shock to the system.
With Vlad battered and burnt by the electric shock, Azuma and BB slice Vlad in half, exposing his brains.
BB leaves a ball of explosive energy in the center, causing Vlad’s remains to scatter throughout the ruins. Only his feet are left behind.
BB remarks that this attack will be remembered for generations to come and dubs it as “Iron Bomber Cross”.
As the pair walk off, suddenly, the Yamato Mori forces are assaulted by fleshy tendrils coming from Vlad’s remains, which begin to feast on the soldiers’ blood to reform his body.
Even from his severed feet, Vlad slowly regenerates in their midst, ready for round three. The elder now appears in his younger form.
