Nagi vs the World Five! Blue Lock Episode Nagi Chapter 33 Spoilers!

In the previous Blue Lock spinoff chapter, Reo’s loss leads to him being part of Shidou’s team for the next match while Nagi is set to face off against Julian Loki’s team.

Blue Lock Episode Nagi Chapter 33 is titled, “Flapping”

This chapter has 39 pages.

The cover shows Nagi stretching while Reo is playing.

This is the 3 vs. 3 match between Shidou’s Team Red and Team White, with Reo attempting to pass the ball to Shidou while feeling like he is someone who cannot yet stand with Nagi, lamenting his weakness.

Shidou takes a powerful shot to the goal, leading to a 5-2 score in favor of Team Red.

It seems that this is where Reo’s mentality in the main series stems from: to be someone who can win and survive

We move quickly to the Nagi side, where Leonardo Luna leads the Team World Five to start the match, with Nagi remarking that they are world all-stars and so Nagi resolves to bring out the fire that made him feel like the best into the bigger, wider world of all-stars.

The match kicks off immediately with Zantetsu’s speed being outmatched by Adam Blake, who takes the ball from him and passes it to Pablo Cavasoz.

Chigiri and Kiyora attempt to box him but Cavasoz uses Meta Vision to find a gap and passes the ball to Dada Silva but the latter gets tackled by Barou.

The giant, however, was unmoved and he was disappointed by Barou’s “wimpy tackle”, before passing the ball to Luna, who manages to evade Nagi with impressive speed.

With confidence, Nagi attempts to catch up but Luna blocks this, saying that Nagi is too young and secures a goal for the team.

Julian Loki praises Luna’s goal but the others insist they are the best.

Nagi is surprised to see how every member of the Team World Five thinks they are the best, even noting that just one of them is an adaptable, stronger version of Reo, who was his ideal for a football player.

Compared to the fire Nagi felt when he won the last match, this is nothing and he is merely in the starting line.

Chigiri suddenly has a leg injury, which likely carried over from the last match, which made Silva tell the staff to pause the game.

Nagi approaches the team before they leave, about what it means to be the world’s best.

Of course Nagi is speaking in Japanese, so Kiyora steps forward, having learned English from dance classes.

Kiyora says that since they have the best emotional strength in the world, so he asks what sort of egos do the world all-stars have.

We shift to Reo’s side as he enters his last rivalry battle, Team White vs Ranze Kurona’s team.

Reo attempts to analyze his foes and sees that the other three have clear, exploitable weaknesses but Number 4, Ranze Kurona, is the nucleus of the team, being able to move through blind spots while keeping up with the ball’s movements with ease.

So Reo makes his move and accelerates into a tight turn to claim the ball.

However, Reo notices that the goals he and Nagi made are because of Nagi’s talent, so now without Nagi, Reo asks what color he is as he passes the ball to Shidou, who scores the goal.

It seems the feelings are mutual between the two football “lovers”.

We go back to Nagi’s side and Luna answers first, saying that ego is not something you can learn from someone else but it is akin to “twisting my heart”.

Silva says he wants to make a ton of money to be happy.

Cavasoz says he just wants to be cute.

Adam Blake says he does it to get many women.

Luna points out that asking about ego is like asking a bird why it flies, thus ego is the “flapping of the heart”.

Kiyora translates these points for Nagi, telling him that basically, ego is to trust your irresistible impulses.

Nagi responds, saying that the impulses he wants to trust is for his goals to shape his destiny.

We cut to an incredible double page spread of Nagi and Reo claiming their respective balls.

Blue Lock Episode Nagi Chapter 34 is titled, “I can’t wake up from this dream” and will be released on May 8, 2025.
