Shikamaru Knows about Kashin Koji! Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 16 Sneak Peek 2!
Shikamaru now knows about Kashin Koji and with Konohamaru closing in on Koji’s old hideout, this might spell trouble for Boruto, in spite of Shikamaru being an ally.
The previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 16 sneak peek showed us Konohamaru’s investigation into what happened with Gaara and Shinki.
The second sneak peek shows Shikamaru’s own investigation into Kawaki’s actions as he interrogates Eida.
Eida: “Even Kawaki agreed to cooperate with him for now, At the very least if you want to do something about the shinju, it’s better you not interfere with them”
Shikamaru: “Eida, with Boruto… he has a mysterious ally.”

Eida tells Shikamaru that Kawaki has agreed to cooperate with Boruto, meaning that within this conversation, Shikamaru is already aware of Boruto’s plan to work with Kawaki, which happened in the last chapter.
Eida suggests that to ensure any progress regarding the sentient God Trees, Shikamaru is better off not interfering with them.
However, Shikamaru revealed that he knows that Boruto has a mysterious ally that speaks through a frog.
The conclusion was obvious for Shikamaru, leading him to recognize that the ally in question is Kashin Koji.
Both sneak peeks now create a different picture, that the chapter might involve the Leaf searching for Kashin Koji, which also happens to be Code’s mission for the sentient God Trees in the last chapter.
This will cause complications for Boruto’s mission.
