Sarada and Sage Mode Mitsuki are NO MATCH for Shinki’s Shinju, Ryu! Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 19 Early Spoilers!
It is clear that Mitsuki and Sarada are not ready for the Shinju and Boruto is still stuck as an observer.
In the previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, Amado stops Kawaki from getting his upgrade. Meanwhile in the Sand Village, Araya uses the Lodestone Sand Sealing Blade made from Shinki’s Iron Sand to free Sarada and the team from Ryu while Matsuri captures Konohamaru after the latter rejects her.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 19 begins with a flashback on how exactly Araya got Lodestone Sand Sealing Blade from Shinki.
This is where we get the second sneak peek, where Shinki notices that Araya seems to be fixated on Yodo’s welfare.
In the present, Araya uses the Lodestone Sand Sealing Blade to dissipate the iron sand from Mitsuki to free him.
Mitsuki and Sarada rejoin the Sand duo against Ryu.
Ryu sends forth a barrage of Iron Sand but Araya counters it with the blade.
Iron Sand then appears from below and behind the group, so Araya uses the Blade again while Sarada uses Fire Style on Ryu but as per usual with Fire Style Ninjutsu, it does not do anything and instead, Ryu defends against the Fireball with Iron Sand.
Mitsuki activates Sage Mode and summons snake that appear from behind Ryu and manage to hold him in palace for an attack but Ryu evades this by turning his body into Iron Sand.
Araya tries to break Ryu’s Iron Sand body but the Iron Sand would reform back to Ryu’s body.
Sage Mode Mitsuki does land an attack and Sarada activates her Sharingan to use Chidori on Ryu’s body but Ryu manages to turn into Iron Sand, as the Chidori was not enough to take him down.
We return to Konohamaru and Matsuri through Eida’s vision as she notes that Konohamaru is in trouble and that he will be devoured at any moment.
Boruto and Kashin Koji ask about Sarada and the others, with Eida saying that they are holding on their own but Konohamaru is in trouble, which makes Boruto want to intervene but Koji tells him not to.
Back to the Shinju’s hideout in their dimension, Jura, Hidari and Bug are talking about the concept of love. Possibly from Jura’s trip to the bookstore or perhaps on Matsuri’s experiences since she and Konohamaru are their main topic.

Back to the Ryu fight, Araya once again tries to counter Ryu’s ability to turn his body into Iron Sand.
Ryu’s body reforms and summonsa horde of Claw Grimes from his cloth, showing that Code’s Claw Marks still retain their teleportation feature without Code’s input.
Sage Mode Mitsuki uses his snakes and Sarada uses her Fire Style Jutsu to attack the Claw Grimes but there are too many of them.
Yodo is in danger of being consumed by a Claw Grime and made into a sentient Shinju just like Shinki became Ryu so Araya uses the Lodestone Sand Sealing Blade to attack the Claw Grime but the blade gets stuck on the monster
Ryu uses this opportunity to remove Araya’s blade by teleporting the Claw Grime that took it back to their hideout.
The chapter ends with Matsuri still attempting to devour Konohamaru as she says that it is time to “become one, Konohamaru-chan”, which is where the episode title comes from.
Things now take a horrific turn for Konohamaru as the most emotional of the Shinju might be the most unstable as she gets her chance to consume her target.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 20 will be released on March 20, 2025 and will be the last chapter of Volume 5.
