Gunko Makes Brook Her Music Slave? One Piece Chapter 1147 Early Spoilers!

Are we about to see Brook declare Luffy the man who will become the Pirate King?

ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous One Piece chapter, the Holy Knights overwhelm the Straw Hats and Giants, revealing themselves to be immortals, and apparently involved with the former King of Elbaph, Harald.

Chapter 1147 is titled, “Things That We Fear”

The title is similar to Chapter 1142, which ended with Gunko expressing his greatest fear being Nika, so will Luffy meet Gunko in this chapter?

We are now on Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Volume 32, where we see Raizo feeding Yamato after defeating Who’s-Who. Is Yamato being treated to some oden?

The chapter shows us a flashback of what happened before Sommers attacked Robin.

Did this happen offscreen in the last chapter?

Saul tells Robin that the God Knights are immortal, which could only mean that, like Usopp, Saul’s Haki attacks were able to actually destroy Sommers’ body.

Considering that Sommers possessed the Iba Iba no Mi, there could have been some protection we have yet to see or if Sommers used Haki. Or perhaps Sommers let Saul discover this to make him feel hopeless.

Either way, this is confirmation of what we learned last chapter via Gunko’s regeneration: that Imu made a contract with all the God’s Knights and made them immortal, which might have not happened considering that Figarland Garling still aged.

Anyway, Saul tells Robin and Chopper to hide behind his hair, which shows that this is the full context behind the last scene of Chapter 1146.

Back in the Sval, Gunko traps the Straw Hats with her Arrows and notices Brook, even though he was also attacking her last chapter.

Seems it took some time for her to recognize the skeleton man.

Gunko puts her foot down on Brook and demands that he be her music slave.

This confirms that Gunko does not actually understand the music she enjoys and simply has it as a product because of her privilege as a spoiled brat, a Celestial Dragon.

However, Brook, one of the Pervert Trio of the Straw Hats, refuses because he has sworn his allegiance to Luffy.

Imagine if this is Brook’s “Luffy will become the Pirate King” moment, with the most recent being Nami and Franky’s on Wano.

Jinbei looks for a way to defeat Gunko.

Meanwhile, Sommers announces that they have captured ten children, including Gaban’s son Colon.

It seems Gunko’s arrow around Colon is programmed to move Colon to their ship.

To free them, the Giants must destroy Elbaph’s schools and libraries and swear loyalty to the World Government.

This is one of the most insidious declarations ever made.

You can see how the World Government is threatened by education.

Ever since the Enies Lobby Arc revealed the existence of the Void Century, we have seen how the World Government fears anyone learning about history beyond textbooks and media, both things controlled and censored by them.

But for the World Government to directly target the concept of education in order to create obedient Giant mercenaries has brought them even lower.

Mother Carmel was their supplier of trafficked Giant children and with her gone, they no longer have an advantage over the rest of the world, so this is clearly a sign of Imu and God’s Knights being quite desperate and that Harald, even as an ally of the World Government, was working behind their backs by providing hope to the people of Elbaph.

This makes Loki’s involvement with Harald’s death even more dubious, as so far he has not actually condemned Harald or his reforms.

The chapter ends with Robin joining Gaban as they stand up against Sommers, refusing to let the Government get away with such an evil crime.

Due to Golden Week, One Piece will be on break next week.

One Piece Chapter 1148 will be released on May 4, 2025.
