Loki Has Thor’s Hammer? Luffy vs Loki Will DESTROY ELBAPH! One Piece Chapter 1142 Hints!

In the previous One Piece chapter, Luffy and Zoro free Loki, which makes the New Giant Pirates panic.

One Piece Chapter 1142 will begin Loki’s rampage upon Elbaph, an event so feared since the start of the arc.

First Reaction

The chapter reaction suggests a much greater hype for events than what we were fed from last chapter, especially now that Loki is making his move.

Ragnir and Mjolnir? The Thunder God Fruit?

Two hints point to Loki using Ragnir throughout the fight and emitting lightning, which is interesting since this is the power of the God of Thunder, Thor.

In Norse myth, Loki has never used Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer, because it required Thor’s immense strength but in One Piece, Loki is considered the “strongest Giant in the world” and he is the same size as Oars, a giant who dwarfs every other giant by comparison.

Perhaps Ragnir, which has the kanji for “Iron Thunder”, holds the Thunder powers and to be clear, it is not the Goro Goro no Mi because Enel is still alive.

Instead, it might be another Mythical Zoan with the ability to manipulate thunderstorms.

Which is timely because Killingham has the Kirin Mythical Zoan, which would allow him to manipulate elements similar to Kaido, both of whom are part of the Chinese Four Symbols.

So it is fitting how Ragnir is a combination of “Ragnarok”, the end that Loki in both myth and One Piece is prophesized to cause, and “Mjolnir”, Thor’s hammer, although Mjolnir’s handle is infamous for being too short, as opposed to the warhammer that Loki holds here.

This also plays into the timing of the story as Loki is the one who ends the Norse world by killing Baldr, one of Odin’s sons.

However, considering how Loki calls himself the “Sun God” and that he stole Elbaph’s Devil Fruit, there is still a possibility of another fruit that resembles Nika, either in Loki’s possession or outside of it.

Walrus School Will Be In Danger

Two hints put together lead us back to Walrus School and the children in class.

Will the school be in danger because of Loki’s rampage or because of God’s Knights are kidnapping their children while Elbaph is preoccupied with the Accursed Prince,?

This is the best opportunity Shamrock, Gunko, Killingham and Sommers have to play their “Native Hunting Competition”.

Killingham’s Powers?

A hint shows a drawing of animals hanging out together.

Some have theorized that this could Killingham’s ability, which would create illusions that would lure the Giant children to where the God’s Knights are as an easy way to kidnap them.

When he first appeared in Chapter 1140: “Scopper Gaban”, Killingham brings up being half-asleep when he is teleported, so we have a hint establishing how sleep is connected to his Devil Fruit nature and abilities.

While East Asian myths depict qilin being akin to dragons via their elemental powers, in Harry Potter film, Fantastic Beasts and the Secrets of Dumbledore, the qilin can see through a person’s soul and find out if they are pure of heart.

Alternatively, Sommers might reveal his own Devil Fruit powers, which we saw no hint of other than his sword handle having thorn patterns.
