ROAD IS THE FAKE SUN GOD! ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1129 EARLY SPOILERS
The first antagonist of the Elbaf Arc is a familiar face and could reveal that the giants are shadier than we thought
In the previous One Piece chapter, we see the Straw Hats discover that they are trapped in a cage with mirrors and meet a massive Giant who might be an imposter Sun God.

Chapter 1129 is titled, “Live Doll”.
After one absence, we return to Volume 16 of the Oni Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage“, which features Yamato meeting with O-Tama and Shinobu in Amigasa Village in Kuri, which is the area the Straw Hats first liberated upon arriving on Wano.
It seems they might be discussing the recent disappearances.
We might be getting close to a resolution to this cover story now that we are in a new arc..
The “Sun God” traps the Straw Hat crew in an iron net but this gets cut off by Zoro and Sanji’s attacks.
Meanwhile, Nami uses the map from last chapter to describe how the Lego Kingdom looks.
In a flashback, we finally learn the identity of the “Sun God”: Road of the New Giant Warrior Pirates, who happened to be part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, except that he disagreed to Hajrudin’s decision.
Road could be the figure beckoning the Straw Hats to come, having planned to capture them.
The Thousand Sunny sailed through a “sleeping mist area,”
The “Green Fairy” was a red herring.
It did not cause any hallucinations but it might have contributed to the Straw Hats having no awareness of the trap that was set for them.
The sleeping mist is why the crew was unconscious.
Muginn, the giant crow, was the one who captured the ship
This revelation does align with established theories that the fake Sun God could be a member of the New Giant Pirates due to their particular footwear and Tekking101 specifically named Road as that character.
Road being an early antagonist is quite an interesting take.for Oda, so we will not go on the usual Princess route or a singular oppressive government.
We see that among the Giants, there is dissent over outsider affairs.
What is funny is that the New Giant Warrior Pirates used to be subject to Buggy’s Delivery. Granted this is a mercenary group that does give the fledgling Giant crew some added revenue but the point somewhat stands.
What is Road’s plan for the Straw Hats?
Considering how much effort he has put to capturing humans, this behavior might put him at odds with the other New Giant Warrior Pirates or it could be reveal a new side to the giant culture.
The “Land of the Gods” storyline has been all about a deconstruction of “fables”.
The giants of One Piece are usually portrayed as a benevolent force but with a giant like Road with a possible god complex or a view of humans as pets, there might be a lot more to the arc than meets the eye.
And judging by the pacing we have so far, we are going to be in for a long ride.
