In the previous One Piece chapter, Dorry and Brogy get updated bounties. After escaping Road, Luffy discovers Loki beneath the roots of Yggdrasil as the latter declares himself the Sun God that will destroy the world.

One Piece Chapter 1131 is titled, “Loki of the Underworld”

This chapter has 17 pages.

The cover story continues with Volume 18 of “Ogre Child Yarnato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage” which shows Yamato riding Komachiyo chasing the thief, with Speed and Tama following behind.

Luffy and Loki

The chapter begins where we left off, with Luffy excited to learn from Loki that they are indeed on Elbaph.

A destination over 20 years in the making and Luffy is so hyped to see the massive tree, the massive island, the giants, everything massive.

Loki gets annoyed by Luffy’s ramblings, telling him that he is still talking to the monkey boy.

Loki’s anger transmits into a powerful scream that scares off the wolves in the area.

We also see Loki’s presentation box that reads:

Accursed Prince of Elbaph Loki.

Special Bounty issued by the World Government: 2,600,000,000 Berries

Loki continues to present himself as the Sun God, to insist his superiority to Luffy, but asks the pirate what state Loki is in and mistakenly calls Luffy “Rody”.

Loki then goes on to say that the tree he is tied to…

Is Treasure Tree Adam!

This gives further ammo to an old theory we have discussed in the channel in 2022, about how Yggdrasil is the Treasure Tree Adam Franky talked about in Chapter 431: “” released on October 23, 2006.

Now in Chapter 1131, exactly 700 chapters and released on November 11, 2024, we now have an answer to this little mystery that comes off so casually from Loki

The Treasure Tree Adam is finally here and the story all fits.

A land torn by war that is constantly rebuilt around a giant tree, the only tree of its kind: Adam.

Franky’s story about Treasure Tree Adam will not be the only thing that ties this chapter to the Enies Lobby Arc.

Our video also highlights the role of male and female trees in the process of plant reproduction, something not too many series even showcase.

Trees cannot produce fruit by themselves (take that God Trees from Naruto), so instead they would need the male tree’s pollen for the female trees to produce any fruit.

Wherever Sunlight Tree Eve is located, it is where the Devil Fruit tree could be and Adam is producing pollen for its production while bearing the strongest bark in the world.

No wonder Elbaph has built its Warland nation around it.

This is the father of all Devil Fruits and this likely means that the Ancient Giants or even the modern ones know about the origins of the Devil Fruits.

Treasure Tree Adam is “Warland” Kingdom itself.

Having been bound to the Tree for 6 years, Loki explains that he is the most powerful person in Elbaph but he is tied down to the mighty Treasure Tree Adam by Seastone Chains, therefore he is unable to escape, so Loki makes a deal with Luffy.

To free Loki, Luffy has to find a key in the village above them and in exchange, Loki can crush any pirate crew Luffy chooses.

Loki explains that the snowy land where Loki is trapped in is called the “Underworld” that serves as a prison and execution ground for Giants who have committed heinous crimes.

Road might end up here if his deeds are exposed.

No one dares to come to the Underworld due to the

The “Underworld” of Norse Mythology is Hel or Helheim ruled by the goddess of death, Hel, daughter of Loki.

In Norse mythology, Loki is bound to a rock by entrails and Loki of One Piece is bound by Seastone.

Loki warns Luffy that the beasts that guard the area are ferocious and they have been his friends since he was a kid, even before his imprisonment six years ago.

Luffy has ended up in quite a predicament as he is trapped in a place where Loki may be in chains but he is also the king of the prisoners, ruling over the beasts that keep everyone trapped inside.

However, this brings back memories for Luffy.

The double-page spread shows all the massive wild beasts surrounding Luffy, which reminds him of Rusukaina Island and its menagerie of huge animals.

There are five beasts highlighted: a polar bear, a gorilla, a wolf, a snake, and a mammoth.

Some humans come out as well, wearing gas masks to conceal their human faces and smelly animal skins to protect against the beasts and blend in.

Loki tells Luffy not to disobey him or he will be mauled by the giant beasts but Luffy remains completely calm.

To Loki’s great shock, Luffy was able to subdue every single beast in a single panel.

Loki’s subordinates are surprised to see Luffy climb on top of the gorilla’s head while the other animals look at Luffy, seemingly tamed by him just like the Rusukaina beasts.

Shanks Mentioned

One of the subordinates expressed worry that Luffy might make them faint just like when “Red Hair Shanks” came to Elbaph.

Luffy heard this and was curious about the mention of Shanks.

Noticing how Luffy emotionally responded to the mention of Shanks, Loki decides to toy with Luffy.

Loki asks how Luffy knew of Shanks, whom Loki called a “chicken pirate”.

This immediately makes Luffy turn into his Gear 4 form and punch Loki but Loki narrowly dodges the massive rubber fist.

Loki, his subordinates and beasts are shocked by what just happened.

So Loki tells Luffy to calm down as he was just joking, whereas Luffy tells him to never insult Shanks again.

This event makes Loki incredibly mad at Luffy and he monologues, saying that he will kill Luffy first as soon as he escapes.

Luffy then asks what business Shanks has in Elbaph but Loki keeps his lips sealed, tempting Luffy to free him to find out.

We have a great encounter with Loki already, showing how tricky he is.

Although Loki ate a legendary Devil Fruit, we are mostly seeing the “Trickster God” in action instead of a brute.

Road Chase Scene

We return to the Straw Hat group as Nami and the rest see Road coming after them.

Gerd and Goldberg are behind Road, chasing after him.

Zoro plans to cut them down but Usopp tells him not to as they might be friends with Dorry and Brogy so they plan to head into Elbaph Village above Road’s castle area.

Nami worries about being caught as trespassers, as the last chapter talked about Elbaph’s laws.

We cut to the “Underworld” but in a different area from where Luffy and Loki are as in another amazing double page spread, we see Hajrudin and Stansen striking down a huge moose to be served in the feast for the Straw Hats.

Robin and Saul Reunion Incoming

We return to the Giant Warrior Pirate ship carrying the other half of the Straw Hat Pirates and it is shown sailing next to a giant sea creature.

Brook is cutting Robin’s hair at her request and this happens to be Brook’s first time performing this task, much to his nervousness.

We see a close-up of Robin, now without bangs, and thus having her pre-timeskip hairstyle back.

Bonney admires Robin’s new look.

Brogy and Dorry note that this is what Robin looked like upon meeting Saul and anticipate his joy when the two reunite, which Franky also looks forward to

Franky is also excited for the reunion.

In the final page of the chapter, we see the ship near Elbaph and the fog clears.

The Straw Hat Crew express amazement at finally seeing Elbaph for the first time, remarking at how massive it is.

In the last panels of the chapter, we cut back to Elbaph as someone is screaming for help as Saul has “fallen down” and is not moving at all.

There will be NO BREAK next week.

One Piece Chapter 1132 will be released on November 18, 2024.
