BLACK NIKA and LOKI Trigger RAGNAROK! One Piece Chapter 1142 Early Spoilers!!
With Loki burning the Adam Tree as the arc time bomb and the God’s Knights game beginning, Elbaph is headed towards its main battle.
In the previous One Piece chapter, Loki has finally been freed by Luffy and Zoro.
One Piece Chapter 1142 is titled, “The Thing That I Fear The Most”
Volume 28 of the “Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage” cover story now has Yamato attack Who’s Who with the Thunder Bagua.
This actually lines up with this chapter’s events, which can be seen with most choices of cover stories in general.
A giant snake called Jormungandr attacks Walrus School but Saul and Headmaster Kiba take it down.
Suddenly, Giant children start sleepwalking to the beach, following Gunko’s arrow.
Meanwhile, Loki orders Luffy and the others to unlock the last cuff on his leg, warning them that he can still destroy Elbaph in this state.
Since the rest are not heeding his warning, Loki uses Ragnir to strike at Treasure Tree Adam, which triggers a lightning strike from the sky that causes a fire on one of Adam Tree’s branches.
Last chapter, we established the old problem of fire causing and theorized that the God’s Knights might cause this.
However, it would actually be Loki’s Ragnir, the combination of Ragnarok and Mjolnir and since Loki was the trigger for Ragnarok and was then trapped for the rest of the event, it would make sense that One Piece’s Loki would destroy his own Yggdrasil
We are 20 chapters in and still the Heavenly World has done nothing but exist.
Will they intervene or is Bleach’s Sosuke Aizen right about the emptiness of heaven?
In the school itself, the Giant children’s fears come to life in the form of eerie, doodle-like monsters, which is where this chapter’s hints were quite literal about.
Ange recalls how she had assigned the class to draw their greatest fears.
These monsters resemble Loki, Black Nika (a dark sun god?), a dragon (or Dragon himself?) and more.
Some of these look more like the fears of the Celestial Dragons than of the Giants themselves, so it is like a direct attempt to realize the greatest fears of the caster of this ability, the fear of the D.
Now, who would be the caster? Perhaps the chapter will reveal it right away but the early spoilers do not say anything.
The God’s Knights watch all of this happen from a higher branch.
Shamrock must have already left for Mary Geoise, so only three God’s Knights will confront the Straw Hats and we will not have any fake Shanks shenanigans.
A bit of a missed opportunity but let’s see if we will have Luffy face Shamrock.
Sommers then asks Gunko what her greatest fear is
This might also hint that Sommers, not Killingham the Qilin, is the one casting the illusion.
Something worth noting is that Sommers’ tattoo resembles the logo on the St. Briss’ sails.
The St. Briss was a ship that tried to explore Skypiea 200 years ago but was sentenced to Cloud Drifting, being left to float while keeping its contents intact.
The name of the ship feels too coincidental, on top of its affiliation with the Briss Kingdom, which it is named after.
This might suggest that the Shepherd Family, possibly Ju Peter himself, were the former rulers of the Briss Kingdom in the Void Century.
Gunko’s reply to her greatest fear is “Nika”.
This could set Gunko to be a contrast to Jewelry Bonney and further proof of our theory about her and possibly even about Shanks and his twin Shamrock, all of whom lack the Saint title.
After three weeks of content, One Piece WILL BE ON BREAK NEXT WEEK.
One Piece Chapter 1143 will be released on March 24, 2025.
