How Usopp ALMOST Defeated The Immortal God’s Knights! Gunko OVERWHELMS the Straw Hats! One Piece Chapter 1146 Early Spoilers!
Usopp is the first Straw Hat to damage a God’s Knight, who are now confirmed to be immortals just like the Five Elders

In the previous One Piece chapter, we get a flashback of Loki meeting Rocks D. Xebec on Elbaph, showing how similar Loki was to Luffy.
Chapter 1146 is titled, “Within Stillness, There is Movement”
We are now on Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Volume 31 as Ulti swears fealty to Yamato after the latter saved her and her brother Page One from Who’s Who.
This chapter is pure action as we see three fights take place:
Gunko vs the Colon Pirates, that is to say Gunko vs Giant Kids.
Killingham vs the Teachers
Sommers vs Jaguar D. Saul.
We mostly see Gunko using the Aro Aro no Mi to overwhelm the Giant Kids and Straw Hats.
Usopp land an explosive hit on Gunko using his weapon, completely destroying her body but she recovers and regenerates her arms and body completely.
Gunko then kidnaps Colon while her comrades defeat the Giant teachers.
It seems that Sommers and Killingham are stronger than a former Vice Admiral Giant and former Giant Warrior Pirates respectively.
Are God’s Knights Immortal?
This chapter changes everything we know about God’s Knights.
It seems that the Five Elders are not the only ones connected to Imu by some sort of devil contract.
Keep in mind that Garling was a young man during the God Valley Incident yet he aged into the present, whereas the Five Elders remained exactly the same for at least 200 years.
Perhaps the Abyss ability, which allows both Five Elders and God’s Knights to teleport across the world, also came with the immortality of the Elders.
There is that tight a link between both features.
Killingham’s knowledge of Abyss also makes it seem like there was an established contract between Imu and God’s Knights recently.
Was this a product of Garling becoming one of the Five Elders?
Perhaps after Garling made the contract to replace Saturn, as God’s Knight Supreme Commander, he suggested that, as a way to prepare for the Final War, they would need more immortals in their forces.
We have seen how the Straw Hats and Giants struggled against the awakened Five Elders.
No one was able to land any permanent damage, except Imu, who killed Saturn from afar.
Only Imu has the means to actually stop the Five Elders.
What can Luffy and the others do? Can Haki be used to cancel or overwhelm the servants of Imu?
Near the end of Wano, the Admiral Ryokugyu was scared off by Shanks’ “bluetooth” Conqueror’s Haki that transmitted his anger at the admiral and that arc established, via Kaido’s battle with Luffy, that Haki is the ultimate strength in the New World.
Haki was also the means by which the Five Elders were driven off, as a remnant of Joy Boy’s Haki, kept in a knot within Emet, seemingly teleported the Elders back to Mary Geoise, or perhaps more like “exorcised” the demons out of Egghead.
Question is, why did Imu not see the need to do this from the start?
Were God’s Knights a recent organization, formed at least around Garling’s time? Or was Imu so fearful of what happened on Egghead that they finally decided to give more of their power to other people?
Is there a limit to how many Imu can contract and does giving away their power via some devil contract weaken Imu personally, which could explain they did not give power to God’s Knights before?
Then again, it could also be that Abyss can be used by anyone with the mark and that mark seems to be held by all God’s Knights and has no ties to the immortality Imu grants.
Even then, with Gunko regenerating, it is now possible that God’s Knights are now immortals too.
That is unless we see Sommers’ body destroyed once.
Gunko is an Arrow Human, which could also mean that her entire body could be made into arrows.
This may be the reason for her seeming immortality but the regeneration and intangibility features are often associated with Logia users, who use their elements to regenerate.
Only two Paramecias have been shown to have regenerative abilities.
Baby 5’s Buki Buki no Mi (Arms-Arms Fruit) allows her to reform her body even when converted into a bomb
Charlotte Katakuri’s “Special Paramecia”, the Mochi Mochi no Mi, behaves like a Logia through a false intangibility that combines his Advanced Observation Haki with his Mochi’s flexibility and the ability to regenerate from his material.
This means Gunko’s clothing could be a product of her Devil Fruit or at least affected by its nature to form into arrows.
Usopp’s feat was quite impressive as it seemed like he could easily destroy Gunko’s arrow material but in the end, she had the means to regenerate.
If she regenerated from nothing, this might be the work of Imu, just like with the Five Elders.
Either way, things are not looking good for Elbaph.
There will be NO BREAK NEXT WEEK.
One Piece Chapter 1147 will be released on April 27, 2025.
