ROBIN REUNITES WITH SAUL AFTER 20 YEARS! ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1131 EARLY CHAPTER SPOILERS!

After a two-week break, One Piece returns.

In the previous chapter, we finally meet the Accursed Prince of Elbaph, Loki, who sees him as a “Sun God” who promises to destroy the world.

Chapter 1131 is titled “Loki in the Underworld”

Now everything aligns to the idea that Yggdrasil matches

Loki is in the “Underworld”, bound by seastone chains to prevent the use of his powers while being patrolled by giant animal guards.

In Norse mythology, the underworld is called Hel (Helheim), the realm of the dead ruled by Hela, daughter of the mythical Loki.

We might see someone guarding the place, a “Magellan-like” figure in Impel Down, which is already an allegory for Hell, specifically the version of Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy.

Loki offers to destroy any pirate crew that Luffy targets as long as Loki frees him.

During their conversation, Loki calls Shanks a “chicken,” which angers Luffy. leading him to attack Loki in Gear 4th, which does not seem to faze the Giant.

That was because Loki was only joking and knew that Luffy was close with Shanks, so he did that to tease the young man.

This does imply, however, that Loki and Shanks might actually be in good terms and that he knew of Luffy, either from his reputation as a Yonko or from Shanks’ own words.

Additionally, the World Government has placed a special bounty of 2.6 billion Berries on Loki’s head. 

This makes him nearly on par with Luffy, Law and Kidd, who gained 3 billion Berry bounties for dethroning two Yonko, both of whom have more than 4 billion Berries worth of individual bounties.

Did Loki acquire this bounty before or after eating the “legendary Devil Fruit” after supposedly killing his father?

Considering the strength needed to contain Loki, it is possible that Loki was already a freakishly strong “young” Giant (his 81 year old brother Hajrudin could be considered a 25-30 year old in Giant terms).

Luffy was curious about the connection the mysterious Giant shared with Shanks and demands an explanation but Loki states that he will only reveal the truth if Luffy releases him.

The likely scenario is that Luffy might not release him immediately but only when something wrong happens while the two are talking.

Speaking of things going wrong, Zoro and the rest happen upon Road, who was still chasing after them.

A gang of pirates appear close to Road as he chases after his fleeing “toys”.

Whether or not this is Gerd and Goldberg or a gang of human pirates is a mystery but given the events of the last chapter, it is likely that Gerd and Goldberg are chasing after the Straw Hats to prevent this mess from leaking out into the rest of Elbaph.

Along the way to Elbaph, Robin prepares for her reunion with Saul and has Brook cut her hair back to her pre-timeskip hairstyle, which is still long and flowing but much shorter than her post-timeskip look.

It seems Robin wants to be prepared to see her old friend.

Jaguar D. Saul was “killed” by being frozen by Kuzan in Chapter 397 “In Hopes of Reaching the Future”, released on January 30, 2006.

Robin was 8 years old when it happened and is currently 30 years old.

This means that Jaguar D. Saul and Robin have not seen each other in 22 years but in the real world of us readers, we have waited for this reunion for almost 20 years.

However, at the end of the chapter, a giant screams that Saul has collapsed on the ground.

What is going on in Elbaph?
