Samura Regains His Enchanted Blade! Kagurabachi Chapter 56 Spoilers!
Samura is back in action with his Enchanted Blade, Tobimune. It seems Hakuri’s gamble paid off.
In the previous Kagurabachi chapter, we learn that the Makizumi were part of an elite squad to silently support Samura in his battles. Frustrated with being useless, Hakuri takes a gamble and joins the battle against the Hishaku.
Kagurabachi Chapter 56 is titled, “Deep in the Night”
This chapter has 19 pages.
Editor’s note: “Resolve, and with it, a great price to pay..!”

We begin with a flashback to the start of Chapter 55 with regards to the recovery of Hakuri’s sorcery.
Hakuri touches his covered eye, still exhausted as he had activated his sorcery before the recovery time could finish, and declares that he will touch Samura and Uruha to register them.
However, the female Makizumi tries to stop Hakuri as they are not sure if they will activate
Suddenly, Hakuri falls down and the mask covering his left eye fades away.
Makizumi considers this a good sign since they will need Storehouse later instead of in the middle of the battle.
Suddenly, the fodder sorcerers grip onto the Datenseki and appear to be brainwashed as they
Makizumi notes that only four people can enter the Mandala and the fodder are using up all the Datenseki stones, which gives them the chance to escape.
The narrator explains that the Makizumi are a clan of ninja who have existed for hundreds of years and choose a master to serve while purging their desires and ego to serve as tools for that master.
The Makizumi are revealed to be the predecessors of the Kamunabi and the descendants continue to serve the modern organization
It seems the female Makizumi is seeing herself, a tool for a master, in the brainwashed Datenseki fodder.
We get a flashback from Samura 3 years ago where he first meets the two Makizumi and the little Captain, who introduces the group to Samura and tells him to “use them as tools” since he is their new master.
When he first saw them before their introduction, Samura tells the Makizumi to just mind their own business.
We learn here that the guardians of each Sanso were based on their compatibility with each designated wielder.
Even without a “deep connection” to Samura, they are the only ones who can keep up with Samura’s movements without getting hurt.
Samura reflected on his two weeks with them, noticing how they always give him food when he feels hungry, remove any bugs on his food before he eats it and open the curtains as soon as he wakes up.
Yet Samura is annoyed by how overproductive they are and insists for them to “Mind. Your. Own. Business,” by which Samura means is
The little captain reveals he is 20 years old but Samura considers 20 years old’s as brats (well he does look like one, so he’s not that wrong)
A little Toshiro Hitsugaya right there.
So Samura, as master, gives a command to the Makizumi.
They are not permitted to sacrifice themselves.
He would rather have the ninja annoy him than to have them view themselves as a convenience to him.
In the present, Samura huddles up with the Makizumi, who all smirk.
Uruha tells the female Makizumi if Samura would be the type of person would get in the circle first, which makes her realize that Samura is the type of person who would not let anyone die.
However, she worries about the number of enemies.
Just then, more roots spring forth and more Datenseki fodder come out, with the whole building now coming down.
Samura’s senses have stopped working since the smell of gunpowder and screams from brainwashed sorcerers filled the air.
In this darkness, there was one light, killing intent, and Samura hits it.
This came from Uruha and the clash of blades breaks Uruha’s own.
Uruha plans to use his own killing intent to guide Samura through the darkness.
Samura is against this at first but Uruha tells him that Hakuri and the Makizumi are not going to sacrifice themselves as mere tools.
Instead, precisely because they know the weight of their own lives that they are willing to sacrifice them here and now.
Samura tells Uruha to shut up but before he could finish, Hakuri comes back and grabs his hand to activate the Storehouse ability, thus handing him Tobimune, Samura’s Enchanted Blade.
Samura says “Karasu” (Crow) and summons a murder of crows to destroy the roots while saying the Makizumi are fired from their jobs.
Kagurabachi Chapter 57 will be released on November 10, 2024.
